Experiments.

I wanted the outer cover to be very simple. Just an eye-catching image. No headlines or even a title. As you can see there is a section on the top right of the cover, there is a brighter section at the edge - This will be folded over to reveal the images of the hands (inspired by the innovative covers of Baseline). This acts as an abstract title, but also within the shapes of the hands are sections cropped from images featured in each section or 'article' - No only could this then act as the title and headlines, but also an abstract content. I'm not at all happy with the photo composition on both the rock and paper articles THESE NEED MORE DEVELOPMENT. The symbols at the edge of each page create a nice sense of structure, however I think that on the articles themselves it isn't really necessary to have the images inside them as they are revealed on the page. The composition works well on the 'scissors' spread. That's purely because they are two un-edited images in a certain style. On the last spread there will be information about where the images came from i.e. if they are gig photos, links to the organisers, the photographer and the reviewer will be presented, however at the same time all the information will be condensed and available to read on the magazine website.
